That’s a really interesting concept to handicap yourself during a game to make the intensity higher.
It’s a concept that I learned while training for the Olympics. We would make thing harder on ourselves so that when competition came it was really easy. It’s easy to go out to a game or practice and coast through and think about the win. But it’s more important to make life hard on yourself for that opponent you’re not up against now.
