An often overlooked technique for lacrosse goalies is, what I call, the hop-step. It’s a way for goalies to move across the front of the net while keeping a rather stable base. It has its benefits and its drawbacks.
In this episode, I dissect some videos from MLL goalie (at the time) Sean Sconone.
Sean is a big dude. And his footwork is excellent. And his technique, while rarely used by other goalies, is quite sound and something you should consider as you move in front of the goal.
Enjoy. Stay dangerous.
